During the event book “ROM questi sconosciuti” (Roma people, those strangers) by Santino Spinelli (in the photo the first on the right) was presented. Santino Spinelli is an Italian musician, writer and university lecturer. He is of Roma origin and he is involved in various activities and organizations aimed at fostering Roma social inclusion and at spreading Roma and Sinti culture and habits.
He wrote a poem called Auschwitz that was incised on the monument dedicated to the extermination of Roma and Sinti people by Nazi regime (Porajmos), in Berlin, near the Bundestag.
Also Samir Alija (the first on the left) was present and told his own story. Samir is a Roma person who lives in a Roma camp in the city of Rome and he is a cultural mediator in projects funded and managed by various public bodies, including Italian Minister of Internal Affairs, which in Italy is the Minister responsible for public order and public security. He is an example of best practice and a person who plays a fundamental role in the social integration of Roma people.
Furthermore Gabriele Levi, member of Consorzio Innopolis staff, delivered a short presentation of PAL project to the people present in the event.
