Nuti is 11 years old school mediator in a locality where more than 300 Roma families live. Her success story begins quite late when she realizes she can and has the ability to change preconceived ideas.
Everything started 12 years ago, after a time when she was a maid of a renowned painter from Brasov, she realized that her social interaction capabilities can be useful to the family but also to the community.
She participated in a course of school mediators carried out by the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development in Romania. During this course, it was highlighted by skills that propelled it among the first on the list of trainees. It has also been highlighted by educational decision-makers who have realized that it can be of use in segregated communities in situations of social risk and where school abandonment is a real problem. He graduated the full-time course.
The fact that he has always assumed his or her affiliation with the Roma has had positive effects in her life.
She met a person who helped and encouraged her throughout life, but the most important supporter was the husband, a creative and working person.
Throughout these years in the field of education, he has changed many destinies by arguing the effects of education for a category of people for whom others are lifetime goals. In Roma families, cultural heritage and customs are more important than education, and Nuti Georghina knows this very well, its purpose is to change that.
She is aware that her mission is very important, and working with colleagues is essential.
Her motto is: “It’s important, in life, that difficult tasks are to be addressed in such a way that it seems easy to achieve”
And after 11 years the results began to appear, she meets with former students who just say words of praise “Mrs. Gina has brought us to school and made our life easier”
