Nikos Paiteris is a Roma entrepreneur and a prominent personality of Roma community in Greece. He is also the President of the Roma Association of Thessaly and he acts as a mediator, trying to eliminate the rivalry between the Roma community and the public institutions.

Mrs. Paiteris started to working in the fields at a very young age and after all these years, he has the right to be called a successful self-made entrepreneur. He was cultivating groceries and after some time he started to selling them at the street markets, something that is very common for Roma people in Greece.

After some years, Mrs. Paiteris quit the agricultural profession. In spite, he chose to remained at the sales sector by selling clothes and shoes, mostly at the street markets.

His next step was to establish a scrap enterprise on 2005.

The company SCRAP PAITERIS SA, is based in Volos and it has branches in Kavala, Drama, Larissa, Thessaloniki and Athens.

Mrs. Paiteris runs the company in cooperation with other family members!

SCRAP PAITERIS SA offers its services with consistency and professionalism and, above all, attention and safety at the customer’s site in compliance with all the required safety measures. During the activities, there is an inspection by an associated security technician.

There are hundreds of micro-collectors from which the company obtains the scrap it processes, as well as permanent cooperation with large but smaller industrial-craft units in which it provides all of its services.

They have an organized network of collections all over Greece, well equipped with modern machines and means of transport for the safe and legal transportation of the resulting materials.

His Message

Within his goals is to raise the awareness of both the Roma community and the teachers’ community in order to have more pupils attending school. He firmly believes that Roma people much have access to education and that Roma communities must recognize the benefits of education.
