Martin Bajger is doing his best to aid their community and be positive examples in society.

Martin Bajger is a graduate of the Department of Socioeconomics at the University in Ústí nad Labem.

Mr. Bajger strated his bussiness as 20 years old. He owns a construction firm and employs almost 50 people.

Bajger talks about encountering discrimination during his first job interview. “The communication by e-mail and telephone was in order untill my personal interview took place. The prospective employer told me just in the doorway, that the job had been already taken. I know it hadn’t, because one hour before I arrived there same person told me they look forward to me.  I told myself that unfortunately I had no choice but to begin my own business and simply hire my own people after this experience”.

Bajger bussines long years in the construction industry. Operation of the dining room was kind of chance, when looking for rental space to a friend’s wedding. Unfortunately couldn’t get a short-term rental, and so seized another opportunity and rented a space for the long term. Then everything went very quickly. “We had three months to launch” says Bajger . Today the dining room will issue 80 – 90 meals.Not only the employees of the nearby heating plant but also to the local residents goes to eat there. All employees are Roma.

Bajger said he hopes “the next generation of Romani people will work as bureaucrats, doctors, lawyers, just in all fields, because unfortunately the representation of Romani people in such positions currently is not very high.”
