Maria is a Roma young woman from a Roma family for whom education was a priority.
Within the family he was fortunate to receive the best advice on the benefits of education and building a career in life. He is the last of a family of five children who have continued and completed the courses of higher education institutions.
Maria graduated from High School in Emil Racovita High School in Brasov, she was an English language Olympic and during the year of the high school she participated in a course organized by the Sastipen Foundation (organization aiming at the social inclusion of Roma people) . Within this project called “A Generation of Roma Specialists in Medicine” Maria has discovered her vocation in what concerns the profession.
She continued his studies at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at the Transilvania University in Brasov and he chose the Department of Physical Therapy and Special Motricity on the places for the Roma.
He said the acceptance procedure at the university was very difficult, the family support and the ambition to succeed had a great deal to do with it.
She went through the university period, during the practical activities he understood that the chosen job fits him, he likes to help people, to relieve them pain. From the university period she managed to obtain a job of physical therapist at Polimed Brasov Clinic, and here she was remarked and soon she was asked to provide part time work in a center providing care for the elderly.
