Local event to promote It is not too Late and Employ Me Campaigns

On 08 April 2017 Consorzio Innopolis staff attended the Porrajmos event organized
by Associazione New Romalen and Circolo Arci Arcobaleno to remember the
massacre of Roma people under Nazi regime and to compare old and new
discriminations. Innopolis staff took also the opportunity to present PAL project in
general and It is not too Late and Employ Me Conference and Awareness Raising
Campaign in particular to attendants (about 60 people: Roma people and activists,
cultural mediators, artists).
Innopolis staff explained the main points of PAL (research, training, awareness
raising activities) and spoke on the importance of preventing discrimination in the
future generations by fostering school and work inclusion of Roma people, It is not
too Late and Employ Me Campaigns were described by speaking about some of the
best practices collected in the two fields.
Attendants discussed also Italy’s delays in social inclusion of Roma people: reasons,
obstacles and solutions.
Promotional material on PAL project were distributed and Innopolis staff answered
to questions put by participants and announced project next activities (training for
Roma people).
