Alexander Slepčík, 29 years, member of the Romani comunity and one of the most famous hair stylist in Ústí nad Labem. As he sayes: „I’m from a gypsy and mafia family, but my customers are white“.

Alexander is Roma and his family is part of the roma mafia, as he himself admits, he managed to fulfill a childhood dream and deal with the prejudices of others. His hair salon is in Ústí nad Labem enjoying great success.He works as hairstlest for more than 10 years and has owned his own salon for more than five. He also advises people on their clothing as a stylist.

Alexander was originally trained as a tailor and took a comb and scissors in hand for the first time when he visited his sister, who worked in a hair salon.After school he just did a two-month hairdressing course and subsequently met, in his words, with the best stylist in the world, Jan Pešan.

His second dream to become a fashion stylist slowly developed during his entire experience as a hairdresser and culminated on 9th of June 2017 fashion show named “Dress up into the music”. The models at his fashion show are the most regular customers of his hair salon. As he says, they are more like family than customers for him. One would assume that the fashion proposed by the Roma will be full of vibrant and bright colors. Alexander but surprised everyone with a very tasteful and modest fashion, appropriate for everyday wear the full earthy colors.
